I am so glad that you have stopped by today! It was perhaps my most recent birthday, one of those “mile marker” birthdays (the big, hmmm…you know what they say about a woman who will tell her age…) that made me think more about the purpose and destiny of my life. I did some looking back and some looking forward. I needed to see where I’d been so that I could really figure out where I was going.

The year I left college I set two goals for myself. It’s been almost 20 years since I left, but I’ve continued to maintain these life goals. The first was to “be better.” I figured that was a safe goal. It would never become obsolete. No matter what stage I was at in life, I wanted to continue to become a better person. Sometimes that has meant big giant leaps, and at other times, it’s been little tiny baby steps. But either way, that goal has kept me moving in a right direction.

The other goal was that people in my life could say, “I am a better person for her having been in my life.” Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart…and love others as yourself…this sums up the law and the prophets.” In other words, our whole Christian life boils down to this…love God & love others! If we don’t touch others with the love of God and encourage them to “be better” then all of our other goals become empty. It is God’s design that we touch others as He touches us!

I hope that as you visit this site, you will accept the challenge to “be better” and that perhaps something here will touch your life & you can share it with someone else!
